Photographing an Angel

Had an assignment photographing a 4 month old baby. It is actually not very difficult to take baby photos as what many thought. The only secret is to make the baby smile or laugh! Yes, that is all! You do not need expensive props or expensive lights. All you need is to have the parents with you to make the baby laugh. As babies tend to get tired easily, remember to go easy with them. Let them be and get the best out of it. Laugh can be contagious, if the baby is not laughing, ask the parents to laugh. You will be amazed by the reactions of...

Elmer and Cherrie ROM

Got a ROM assignment from a sweet Filipino couple. Arrived early as usual and was very please to meet them. The bride seems to be a little nervous, but fortunately we are able to break the ice before the event starts. It is important that the couple is comfortable with the photographer, so as to deliver beautiful and natural photographs.   I must really say they are very sweet and loving. To be very honest, I was totally indulged in the sweet moments. Wish Elmer and Cherrie and HAPPY & BLISSFUL MARRIAGE. Back to...

A Warm ROM, A Warm Happy Couple

Got an ROM assignment and the venue is in one of the restaurants at warm and beautiful Sentosa. Gladly accepted the assignment with delight and look forward to it!   The special day was a bright and warm late morning with harsh lighting. Being an event photographer, I am not able to change the environment and outdoor conditions. I have to check and adjust my camera settings, so that I can achieve proper exposure for the photographs.   The ROM was filled with joy and laughter. The couple is so friendly and jovial. I had so much fun...

A Gift From a Friend

A token given to me by one of my photography client. Thank you very much I and sincerely appreciate it. =) Took some photos of it, with some of my interpretation of life.   Life should be beautiful filled with colors. How long was it since you last looked at the environment around you? Did you notice the green trees, the blue sky, the golden sun, etc? No you didn’t???? Why??? What are we busy with? Or we simply take them for granted? Shouldn’t life be sweet and colorful? Is it that difficult to achieve?   How...

Photo-Shoot With Alvotor

Posted by on May 17, 2011 in Fun Photo Assignments | Comments Off

Shot quite a handful of photos with Alvotor, a Singapore company gathering young designers who design t-shirts liked by the community. This time, Alvotor is also displaying young talents in Hip Hop Dancing, which is one of the coolest activity in town. Its great to see them pursuing what they love and enjoy doing. Like Alvotor, me too believe that there are many talents in Singapore waiting to be discovered. With enough practice and exposure, they will be our future stars! I am not into dancing, but I can see Hip Hop Dancing really requires...

Had a great shooting session with my friends at Haji Lane. Haji Lane is a great place for photographers to explore. It is so beautiful, colorful and you can even do some shopping in the boutiques when you are tired! =) Don’t forget to apply Photography Tips & Fundamentals during your photo-shooting sessions to make your photos more attractive. Looking at the photo above, I use Tips #40: Simplicity Is Beauty. Rather than capturing the whole building, I chose to shoot the top of the building stressing on the lines of the roof against...
